A State Franchise is one who operates/owns a major geographical. He operates the branch office for the Company in a particular district / town. He must be a well versed business person with good geographical knowledge and capable to appoint District Franchises and City Franchises in his region. The State Franchise has got all rights to take decisions individually in promoting the business in his territory. He will look upon all the functions like Operations, Sales & Marketing, Route Vehicle Operations, Networking, Training etc.
Appropriate training to the State Franchise will be provided by the Company. A good investment capability is must for a State Franchise as he operates for a major territory. A District Franchise is appointed to head the key location of a developed town and to monitor and support the entire operations through Franchises falling under his territory. He will have to maintain an office setup in the heart of the city/town to enable effective inbound & outbound operations. He will also act as a controlling branch to the Franchises of his region and will be responsible for the entire inbound and outbound activities of his district/territory. The District Franchise will purchase all stationery from the Company at nominal cost and will supply the same to the Franchises with some marginal profits.
He will also act a HUB branch for his district wherein the pickups done by his Franchises and himself will get consolidated at his branch and would be transshipped to the destinations. The Franchise would pay the SF as transshipment cost for their shipments as per the rates described by the Company. For the DF the proposed operating profit per consignment is said to be at 70% before expenses and said to be at 35% after expenses.
A City Franchise is one who operates within a designated territory said to be a part of town, taluk, village etc. He will be responsible for the deliveries and pickups of his territory within the stipulated time frame. He will be controlled & monitored by his District Franchise who ideally operates from the district head quarters.
The City Franchise would have to buy all his required stationers only from his DF as per the rates prescribed by the Company. The City Franchise would have to pay the DF as transshipment charges for his consignments as per the weight slabs that are getting transshipped through the DF. The operating profit to the City Franchise before expenses is said to be at 50% and said to be at 30% after expenses.
